abstract

cyclohexylidine-ammonium-2-aminocyclohexyline-l-cyclohexee-l- dithiocarboxylate (cccd) is employed for the gravimetric determination of ni (ii). in neutral or ammoniacal solutions, the metal forms a violet precipitate with the reagent which can be weighed as ni (c13h18ns2)a2f ter drying at 115 - 120?c using this procedure, the nickel content of steel samples can also be determined accurately. the purity of the precipitate and complete removal of interferences are confirmed by differential pulse polarography

Ammonium 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate

The title compound, NH(4) (+)·C(11)H(7)O(3) (-), was obtained by slow evaporation of a 30% ammonia solution of 1-hydr-oxy-2-naphthoic acid. The crystal structure is stabilized by inter-molecular N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.

rac-Ammonium cis-2-carboxycyclohexane-1-carboxylate

In the structure of the title compound, NH(4) (+)·C(8)H(11)O(4) (-), the carboxyl and carboxyl-ate groups of the cation adopt C-C-C-O torsion angles of 174.9 (2) and -145.4 (2)°, respectively, with the alicyclic ring. The ammonium H atoms of the cations give a total of five hydrogen-bonding associations with carboxyl-ate O-atom acceptors of the anion which, together with a carboxyl O-H⋯O(carbox...

Gravimetric determination of pipette errors

In chemical measurements (for instance in titrimetric analysis) it is very important to precisely measure amount of liquid, the measurement is performed with use of various measuring vessels. Presently laboratories use all kinds of glass measuring vessels like: beakers, flasks, etc., for measurement of bigger volumes of liquid, and in case of small volumes glass pipettes. Glass pipettes have be...

Molecular Weight Determination for 1 , 2 , 1 , 2 - Polypropadiene

-By using standard bromination conditions, the insoluble 1,2,1,2-polypropadiene (formed by Ni(acac)z or Co(acac)2 or 3, C3H,,, (iBu)3A1 catalysts) is transformed into a soluble bromopolypropadiene. Using this technique, determination of molecular weight becomes possible. It was found that the molecular weight increases with polymerization time until a steady value is reached. As the polymer yie...
